Surgeons in this division specialize in the diagnosis of and surgical treatment for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, spleen, small and large intestine, colon and rectum. They also perform repair of hernias. Many of the procedures employ minimal access (laparoscopic and flexible endoscopic) techniques.
The broad perspective of members of this division makes them uniquely qualified to provide accurate diagnosis and individualized surgical management of common and unusual abdominal diseases.
Many surgeons in this division perform procedures at the NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Pavilion in northern Manhattan, and Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, New York, delivering the benefits of an academic institution and some of the best medicine and surgery in the tri-state area.
